Arrarex of Milan produced only one model of lever machine in the 1950s and 1970s: the Caravel. Its inventor, Doctor Emidio Salati, patented his 1956 invention in Italy

Initially the machines were produced with the VAM (Vetraria Ambrosiana Milano) brand and a lateral effigy in the shape of a crowned head. Subsequently the model took the name of Caravel with a caravel-shaped effigy. Over time the machine remains substantially unchanged, with slight aesthetic differences in the handles and internal piston.
