Vintage very nice 1959 Olympia SM 3 portable typewriter. Made in Germany, Olympia Werke AG, Wilkelmshaven. The typewriter has a nice creamy white enamel finish in good condition with usual wear and blemishes to the finish. Pictures show the condition well. Very nice chocolate brown keyboard in excellent condition, almost looks like bake lite. Check out the photos. The serial number is 1407033. The typewriter is in very good condition, operationally and clean. The typewriter has a very nice pica font. The keys strike and return and the carriage advances well as you type, original platen, backspace good, paper feed, all feet, new ribbon, ribbon feed, margin release, tab, bell, carriage lock are all good. Types very well. Good chrome and graphics. The four washers supporting the carriage have been replaced allowing smooth movement of the carriage. The typewriter measures 13” x 13”x 5 1/2”.
