Japanese White Pine Bonsai – Grafted on Japanese Black Pine Rootstock

An established Japanese White Pine bonsai, originally imported from Japan.

The tree has been traditionally grafted onto Japanese Black Pine rootstock, a well-established technique used for Japanese White Pine bonsai. The strong and mature lower trunk and root base give the tree good character and visual age.

The tree has an attractive informal form with a substantial trunk, mature bark and well-developed branching.

It was repotted last year and is currently growing in the bonsai pot shown in the photographs.
