This 2nd type cab version, finished in its iconic green livery with matching hubs and original metal chains.

The Truck:
Real (Original 1950s)
​This Foden 905 truck is an original 1950s vintage piece.

Several details confirm this:

​Authentic Wear:
The "micro-chipping" on the cab roof and the silver paint wear on the grille are consistent with 70-year-old lead-based paint.

​The Chain Posts:
The "dimpled" tops of the metal posts and the specific patina (darkening) of the chains match the original Meccano Ltd. manufacturing standards.

​Axles and Hubs:
The crimped ends of the axles and the mid-green metal "Supertoy" hubs are hallmarks of the original British production.

​Condition Report:

​The Truck:
In good vintage condition. The paint shows some light chipping and play wear (primarily on the wheel arches and cab roof), which is consistent with its age.

All chain posts are present and straight.
The original metal chains are intact.

​Underside:
The baseplate is clean, clearly embossed with "Dinky Supertoys," "Foden," and "Meccano Ltd."

​Wheels/Tyres:
Features original ridged hubs and black treaded tyres, including the spare mounted underneath.

​The Box

The box is structurally sound but shows some shelf wear and light scuffing to the lid edges. The label is bright and clearly shows the green truck illustration.

The box came with the truck and is a "very high-quality display box" for its age it may be original or an ealry "reproduction box."
