Both paintings are presented in their original blackened wood frames, protected by domed glass typical of the period around 1900 / early 20th century.

 

The work is particularly fine: strands shaped to compose symbolic floral patterns (thoughts of remembrance), plant decor and background adorned with hair dust. Both pieces bear the same initials 'A.G', suggesting a consistent commemorative order.
