2022-P Lincoln Shield Cent Mint Error Retained Debris Strike-through US Penny 1c

This anomaly is unique. A fairly large fragment—a piece of debris left on the coin—traveled a long way from the Mint to our hands. What makes this find truly unique is that we discovered it in a wrapped roll of uncirculated coins. It is impossible to say with certainty how this fragment ended up on the obverse of the coin. It is also unknown whether it left an indentation. A very neat and rare find.
