For sale, is not just another modern Passover Haggadah. It is a documented piece of the humanitarian response to the first Passover after the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine war.

Published in 2022 by F.R.E.E. (Friends of Refugees of Eastern Europe), this 26th edition was specially produced for distribution to Jewish refugees from Ukraine. The title page explicitly states that it is a “Special Edition for Distribution to Refugees from Ukraine.” Inside is a personal message in Ukrainian addressed to displaced Jewish families, expressing solidarity, offering hope, and providing contact information for emergency assistance, relocation, food, housing, employment, Jewish schools, and community support.

The Haggadah contains the complete Hebrew text alongside Russian translation and Russian transliteration, allowing Russian-speaking Jews to both understand the text and participate in the traditional Seder. It also includes introductions explaining the mission of F.R.E.E., an organization founded in 1969 under the inspiration of the Lubavitcher Rebbe to assist Jewish refugees and immigrants from Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.

Unlike ordinary commercial editions, this copy preserves the historical context of Passover 2022, when thousands of Jewish refugees fled Ukraine and Jewish organizations around the world mobilized to provide emergency relief. It represents both a religious publication and a contemporary historical artifact documenting that humanitarian effort.
