Up for sale is an OEM Showa Rear Shock Absorber removed from a 1993 Suzuki RM250. This is a complete original unit featuring the factory piggyback reservoir and the iconic bright yellow coil spring (IMG_5632.jpg).
Shock Shaft: The main chrome shock shaft is clean, bright, and free of serious pitting or gouging where visible through the coils (IMG_5636.jpg and IMG_5637.jpg).
Yellow Spring: The original yellow powder-coated spring is intact with no cracks. It shows some standard chips, flaking, and light surface corrosion on the lower coils and edges from normal roost and usage over time (IMG_5635.jpg and IMG_5640.jpg).
Adjusters & Threads: The dual preload spanner locking nuts are fully intact with clean threads on the aluminum shock body (IMG_5633.jpg and IMG_5634.jpg). The lower damping clicker/adjuster bolt assembly moves freely and has clean hex flats (IMG_5633.jpg and IMG_5641.jpg).
Mounting Clevis & Eyelet: The upper mounting eyelet holds the original bearing sleeve and mount bolt (IMG_5632.jpg). The lower aluminum mounting clevis has some typical surface weathering, scuffs, and minor staining, but the mounting bolt holes and threads are solid (IMG_5638.jpg and IMG_5639.jpg).
Piggyback Reservoir: The reservoir body is straight with clean edges and houses the factory nitrogen bladder valve assembly intact under the bottom cap (IMG_5640.jpg).
Note: As with any vintage motocross suspension component that has been in storage, a complete teardown for a fresh oil change, new seals, and a proper nitrogen recharge is highly recommended to ensure maximum track performance.
