I have owned this Mercedes SL500 Convertible since 2019 and it has been a fantastic experience.

As this car is 24 years old, I am going to start by listing the negative points:
- there is a slow drain on the rear battery (the one that feeds the dashboard and electrics) and it typically either needs a trickle charge or recharging every 5 days if not used.  If used regularly it is not an issue
- there is no issue with the front battery (the one that starts the engine)
- there are some minor marks on the bodywork but you have to look closely.  There is some light damage over the right hand rear arch (as shown on the photos) which should be easy enough to repair
- the keyless start/stop does not work
- the key needs to be used to access the boot

If you've read this far, this car could be for you as it has plenty of genuine positives:
- it's a great car to drive.  The engine has never let me down and it starts first time. Every time.  And it really responds to being driven
- it has low mileage at only 94k
- the hard top electric convertible works first time, every time.  It is in perfect working order
- I have installed a wind deflector (as shown in the photos) - it folds up and down but really helps when driving at speed.  And this car did a tour of Belgium, Germany and France and could comfortably do 150mph on German autobahns where the wind deflector made a massive difference
- I have changed the entertainment system (see photos) to enable connection to smart phones

I have priced it reasonably and happy to discuss further with serious potential buyers
