I was fortunate recently to be able to acquire a good collection of antique & vintage sterling silver cycling prize fob medals dating from the 1890s up to the 1960s. I am now putting these medals up for auction at very reasonable starting prices (often below the sterling silver scrap price) but with a Buy it Now option for anyone who does not wish to wait.

This example is:

A sterling silver & enamel cycling fob medal dated 1936.

The front of the medal depicts the City of Bradford Crest & is embossed:

"BRADFORD VICTORIA CYCLING CLUB"

The obverse is engraved:

"BFD. TO SETTLE MISS A. SHERIFF. 1936" (It appears the medal is a prize relating to a cycle race from Bradford to Settle).

Sterling Silver Medal: Weight: 17.6 gm. Width: 26 mm. Height (excluding ring): 36 mm. Hall Mark: Birmingham 1936. Maker's Mark: Vaughton & Sons.

Summary: As can be seen from the photos this is an attractive & collectable sterling silver cycling medal from the 1930s. Good luck!

NOTE: Please see my other listings of sterling silver cycling medals. If more than one medal is purchased please wait until you receive an invoice before making payment as I am happy to combine postage.
