A rare and decorative view of the city of Azemmour (Marroco) with it's fortifications at the end of the 16th century. German text on verso. This original engraving derives from Braun & Hogenberg's "Civitates Orbis Terrarum". It was printed in the year 1572, measures 9 x 23 cm (plate size) and is in good condition. There is some browning due to age and, as always with this single view of Azemmour, the lower margin has been cut.
