A VERY NICE LARGE MULTIPLE WATERMARK’ [1918-1924] KING GEORGE V ½d GREEN: FRESH COLOUR (UNUSED NO GUM) (NWPI TYPE A) FIFTH SETTING "ELONGATED STOP AFTER ISLANDS"
The Large Multiple Watermark printings of the King George V Sideface Series were made in 1918 through to 1924. They were COMB’ perforated (14 x 14¼) by J.B COOKE and T.S. HARRISON. There were THREE printings made on Large Multiple Watermark paper, in November 1917 (COOKE) and May and September 1918 (HARRISON). The total number of sheets printed was 200,896 sheets of 120 on - 96,430,080 stamps.

From these, the total number of Large Multiple Watermark stamps consigned to "NWPI OVERPRINTING" up to May 1923 was just 163,320. These were sent in various amounts between February 1919 and July 1922. There may have been a further 50 sheets issued post May 1923. Here is a very nice LARGE MULTI from the 5th SETTING with a slightly ELONGATED STOP AFTER ISLANDS.
