This a vintage beautiful Japanese porcelain tea set featuring hand-painted landscape scenes, potentially Kutani ware.The design typically includes a scenic view of Mount Fuji, waterwheels, and gold trim accents.Sets like this often date from the 1930s to the 1960s and may be referred to as "eggshell" porcelain due to their lightweight, thin construction.

The two cups feature a hidden lithophane Geisha portrait in the base, which appears when the cups are held up to the light. This traditional decorative detail adds to the vintage charm and collectability of the set.

Condition:

-Teapot: Small chip on the inner rim (not visible when the lid is in place).

-Sugar Bowl: Small chip at the base.

-One cup: Fine hairline crack running from the rim down the side (see photos).

Minor wear to the gilt trim and light signs of age/use throughout.
