Utterly charming pair of French Portieux Vallerysthal blue opaline/milk glass covered dishes in the form of acorns with squirrel finials.

Each dish features a textured acorn cup, moulded feet and a detailed squirrel perched on the lid. The soft pale blue glass displays beautifully and works equally well as a decorative piece, trinket box or bonbon dish.

These examples measure approximately 18cm in length.

Condition:

Both dishes are in good vintage condition overall with no cracks. One dish has a small chip to the underside rim (shown in the photographs). This is concealed when the lid is in place and does not detract from display. There may be the usual light signs of age and use consistent with vintage glass.
