This beautiful vintage piece is from the renowned Bohemian porcelain manufacturer Pirkenhammer. It features a softly-colored floral, basketweave textured sides, and reticulated scalloped edges with gold trim. Pirkenhammer was established in 1803 in what is now the Czech Republic and this bowl displays the reticulated edges and hand painted florals that earned their esteemed reputation. When gilding was shown to be safe in 1835, the company chose to excel in its application and gained a worldwide reputation as masters. The markings on the back date this piece to 1945-1990. Measurements: 12 1/2" long, 7 7/8" wide, 2 1/2" deep Like New Condition: no chips, cracks, or crazing. Gilding is intact.
