Original Will Barnet woodcut “Child Reaching,” 1940, hand signed in pencil lower right and titled lower left. Classic early Barnet domestic scene with a child stretching across the table, printed in rich black ink on thin, toned paper. Image measures approximately 7 x 11 inches, sheet slightly larger and currently hinged to a backing sheet as found. Paper shows overall even browning and edge wear from age but the image area is strong and readable. A scarce early woodcut by this important American printmaker, sold as found and ready to mat and frame to taste.
