The 14th Infantry participated in various campaigns of the Army from Williamsburg to Cold Harbor, fought with Early in the Shenandoah Valley, and ended the war at Appomattox. It participated in battles at Williamsburg, the Seven Days' Battles, Maryland Campaign, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, Bristoe Station, Wilderness, Spotsylvania Court House, North Anna, Petersburg and other battles, and ended the war at Appomattox. In addition to the unit history, the book contains, by name, unit rosters and also provides descriptions of individual soldiers, again by name, with a summary of their war service.
