I do not know the exact age as I did not buy it brand new ;~)
I purchased this at an estate sale probably 15 years ago
as it has been burried in a room I have not been in in that long !
As a guess - I would think this dates back to
between the end of WW11 maybe up to the 1960's -
it is a Diorama of undergound mining tunnel / shaft
with the miner and Ore cart on tracks outside
with the strip mine on the Mountain Side
pictured in the background
The wording on the entrance translates to German
From what I can research - I think this is the
Terraced Open Pit Iron Ore Strip Mine in
Erzberg Eisenerz Styria Austria
high in the Austrian Alps - Close to Glaz or Vienna .
The glass case measures as shown in the pictures
