‘May Vivienne’ was the pen name of May Vivian Rayner (1857–1926), an Australian journalist, travel writer and promoter of Australian settlement and development. Through extensive first-hand travel she documented Western Australia, South Australia, Broken Hill and other regions during the federation era.
