📝 Malfunctions / Limitations / Notes
- Overall: This unit has unstable power delivery via the battery — when inserted with the power switch on, it often cycles on and off at roughly 2-second intervals, and even when power stays on, pressing any button can cause it to shut off again. Sold as-is for parts or repair.
- That said, the core mechanisms appear to be in good working order. When power is stable, recording, playback, zoom, and AV output have all been tested and confirmed working — the issue seems isolated to the power/battery contact circuit.
- A couple of things I've noticed that affect the instability: leaving the battery installed after switching the camera off seems to trigger or worsen it. Ideally, the battery should be removed before turning the power switch off. If the battery is then left out and the unit rested for about a week, power tends to stabilize and operate normally again.

- The language setting of these cameras is Japanese only. Menus and on-screen displays cannot be changed to other languages.
- These are Japanese market models (NTSC format). They may not be compatible with PAL-standard TVs or equipment used in Europe, Australia, and some other regions. Please confirm compatibility before purchasing.
