William Moorcroft Orchid Vase Potter To HM The Queen 13cm Art Pottery.

A beautiful William Moorcroft pottery vase dating to the 1930s–1940s period, bearing the sought-after “Potter to H.M. The Queen” mark. Decorated with richly tubelined floral motifs in shades of lilac, blue, cream and burgundy against a shaded green ground, this charming cabinet vase is a fine example of Moorcroft’s distinctive hand-crafted art pottery.

Standing approximately 13cm tall, the vase has an elegant bulbous body with a flared neck and displays wonderfully. The base carries the impressed and painted Moorcroft marks along with “Made in England” and “Potter to H.M. the Queen” along with the potters signature.

Presented in very good pre-owned condition with no cracks or restoration noted. There is one small chip to the base which you can see in the photographs. I have also taken photos of other slight imperfections which appear to be part of the glazing process. There is the usual fine crazing to the glaze, typical of many Moorcroft pieces, which adds to its character and authenticity. Please feel free to ask any questions. I am also happy to take more photos on request.
