Description:
A fine Victorian sterling silver sewing thimble, fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1894 and bearing registered design number Rd 227060. Size 6. Weight 16.4g. Height approximately 25mm. The body is covered overall with a honeycomb dimple pattern for grip, with concentric ring dimples to the domed apex. The plain lower band carries engraved script initials "M.G.P." and the full run of hallmarks: maker's mark, lion passant, Birmingham anchor, and date letter. Interior is plain and open.
