I pulled these shift/brake levers off a lightly used mountain bike. I found them in great condition but the shifting mechanisms were really sticky from old grease so I figured I would disassemble them, clean everything up, then reassemble so they would shift like new. I took the right lever apart, ultrasonically cleaned all the inner parts, then proceeded to put the shifter back together but found it impossible to do so, even with YouTube video guidance. I feel pretty stupid because they are now useless to me. The left lever still feels a little sticky inside so I can't promise it will work but if you know your way around rebuilding these, you'll get them for a song by using a little elbow grease to reinstate them.

I also sanded and resprayed the levers with flat matte black paint, so those are in perfect condition.

This is truly a, "my loss is your gain" situation...
