CARPLAY & Android Auto

The ultimate co-pilot. Apple CarPlay is a smarter, safer way to use your iPhone while you drive. You can get directions, make calls, send and receive messages, and enjoy your favourite music. All on your car’s built-in display. And CarPlay now features more app categories and custom wallpapers for your CarPlay Dashboard. You can send audio messages with SiRi so you never have to look at your phone while driving. You can also have SiRi announce all your incoming messages then simple speak to reply. You can also ask SiRi to share your ETA with someone from your contacts list whilst navigating with Apple Maps, to help keep everyone who needs to know, in the know.

BLUETOOTH

With Bluetooth 5.0, you can enjoy talking on the move with the hands free calling element of the head unit. Then with music, you have the A2DP Bluetooth Music mode and this will show the track information when streaming via smart mobile phone. Open Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music, Amazon Music etc on your phone and then open the A2DP App and start streaming. You can play/pause, track forward and track back on the touch screen. Song name and Artist will be displayed on the screen.

FITMENT NOTES

1. You may require a different aerial adaptor depending on the variant type of your factory aerial plug fitting (sold separately).

2. If you have stock factory fitted GPS antenna, rear view camera, AUX/USB ports or DAB antenna, then you will require a retention cable (all sold separately). Please ask us so we can advise what you require. 

3. Models with BOSE or Active Rear Sub System; sometimes with BOSE, you get some alternator whine or interference when you change the factory stereo to an after-market one. An after-market unit will always be more powerful than the stock unit so it requests more. The trouble is, the BOSE amplifier is not shielded so it causes humming, interference or engine whine through the speakers. You will require ground loop isolators and an alternator interference suppressor in order to eliminate this whine/noise. Part number REW-10160 would be required. 

PLEASE NOTE

With our unit, you will retain the steering wheel controls, door opening display, dual climate control display and parking sensors display (should you have any of these as standard). You do not require anything additional for this.
