These Japanese Dolls feature fabric-covered, round bodies.  They are often referred to as "roly-poly" dolls due to their weighted, round shape. These dolls appear to have a fabric face that is hand painted.  The bride has a yellowish tinge to her complexion.  The groom has a lighter complexion. The bride is dressed in an orange colored brocade material.  The Groom is dressed in a black cotton tuxedo.   

Traditionally, these dolls are believed to bring good luck, perseverance, and fortune, often gifted for marriages or births.
