Up for sale is a wonderful and rare antique German doll from Keramische Werke Gräfenhain (KWG), the renowned successor to the legendary Simon Halbig factory of Gräfenhain, Germany. Produced circa 1930s, this doll is a fantastic collector's piece in original, unrestored condition.

🔍 MARKS & IDENTIFICATION

  • Head top (crown): Incised KW / 9

  • Back of head/neck: Incised 133 / 10 (Mold 133, Size 10)

  • Consistent with KWG production as documented in major doll reference works

  • Height: 20 inches (approx. 50 cm)

  • Head & Body: All original composition — head and jointed body

  • Eyes: Blue sulfur (sleep) glass eyes

  • Hair: Original mohair wig in dark brown braids with pink ribbon ties

  • Mouth: Open with upper teeth

  • Vocal Mechanism: Working crier / mama voice box — functional and intact (back torso opening visible)

  • Shoes & Socks: Original-style black leather shoes and white lace socks
