This specific branch was established in 2000 and later reorganized in 2009, making this particular early version of the badge a highly collectible piece of Israeli military history.

The badge features the classic tactical intelligence symbols: the Fleur-de-lis (iris/lily), field binoculars, and olive branches, with the Hebrew inscription at the bottom. It comes with its official combat unit red felt backing backing cloth.
