Profometer PM8000 Pro – Advanced Rebar Cover Meter with AR Heatmaps & ISO Accuracy

Profometer Rebar Diameter and Cover Meters find rebars, measure rebar cover in concrete, estimate rebar diameter in concrete structures, and detect rebar with a maximum depth of 7.3in (185mm).

The sensor can detect individual rebars and measure cover to 7.3in (185mm) deep with ±0.16in (4mm) accuracy or better. Bar diameter can be measured to 2.5in (63mm) deep with ± rebar diameter accuracy. Area scan size is 107,000ft² (10,000m²) and linear scan length is 0.6mi (1km).

The sensor connects via Bluetooth to the user’s Apple iPad (iPadOS 13 or later required). Visualizations, graphics and report data can be uploaded to the cloud and shared from anywhere with cellular or Wi-Fi.

The Profometer app lets you see into concrete structures and visualize rebars with cover and diameter values in metric and imperial units, dowels, live wires or any metallic object.

View results also provides minimum cover alert, in statistics mode, area scan heat maps, augmented reality (AR) visualizations and more. Cover depth and bar diameter affect detection, measurement limits and accuracy.

Visualizations and maps for cover depth, bar diameters and locations are rendered in millimeter accuracy. In advanced iPad models, AI corrects and filters data to improve image resolution in areas of congested reinforcing steel.

The sensor is designed for smooth rolling for area or linear scans while mounted in the wheeled cart. The sensor detaches for handheld use to detect bar relative location and simple user orientation and show results on its built-in OLED display.

A software license is required to use the Profometer app. Profometer Pro comes with the premium software license which includes all measurement modes, auto and manual rebar spacing, 1st and 2nd layer neighboring rebar correction, line scan views, area scan views such as concrete cover and rebar diameter view, heat map and AR heat map.

Profometer Basic comes with the basic license which includes spot data import measurement mode, manual rebar spacing, 1st layer neighboring rebar correction and does not include line or area scan views or AR capabilities.
