Original vintage sepia studio portrait photograph dating from the 1930s–1940s period. Depicts an East Asian military officer in formal uniform with ceremonial sword and round spectacles. The subject bears a strong resemblance to Puyi, the last Emperor of China and ruler of Manchukuo, although this can not be confirmed without more research. A striking portrait with excellent display appeal, likely linked to the Japanese occupation era in Manchuria. .
Good vintage condition for age. Some surface wear, light marks, age-related fading and staining to reverse as shown in photos. Edges and corners show minor wear consistent with storage and handling over many decades.
