Vintage Pat Pend Alfred Philippe Trifari White Flower Clip Earrings As Is 🤍
This pair is in good preowned condition but have started to tarnish around the white beads and stones a bit from age. There is tarnishing to the gold tone metal. Please reference the close up pictures for examples. The back clips are nice and snug. The earrings are signed on the backs. The pearl-and-leaf motif with a brushed gold finish fits well with Trifari’s output in the early 1950s to early 1960s, a period when designer Alfred Philippe crafted elegant, nature-inspired pieces. The clip-back mechanism and material quality (gold-toned metal with faux pearls) are consistent with mid-century costume jewelry trends of that era.
🤍🤍
Condition: good
Condition Issues: have some tarnishing around white stones as well as tarnishing to the gold tone metal, see pics for reference
Dimensions: 7/8” x 1 1/8”
Age: vintage 1950-1963

History of Trifari Jewelry
Trifari Jewelry is a well-known brand in the world of costume jewelry. It was founded by Gustavo Trifari, an Italian immigrant, in New York City in 1910. Trifari originally started as a small business, but it quickly gained popularity and grew into a successful company.
In the early days, Trifari focused on creating high-quality costume jewelry pieces that mimicked the look of fine jewelry. The company’s designs were known for their elegance, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. Trifari’s innovative use of rhinestones and enamel made its jewelry stand out from the rest.
In the 1930s, Trifari started collaborating with renowned designers such as Alfred Philippe, who joined the company as its head designer. Philippe’s creative designs brought a fresh and unique aesthetic to Trifari Jewelry, making it even more popular among fashion-conscious individuals.
During the mid-20th century, Trifari reached new heights of success. It became a favored brand among Hollywood celebrities and fashion icons, and its pieces were often featured in films and magazines. Trifari’s jewelry was known for its timeless elegance, versatility, and affordability.
In 1975, Trifari was acquired by the multinational corporation, Hallmark Cards. The brand continued its legacy of producing high-quality costume jewelry under Hallmark’s ownership. Today, Trifari Jewelry is highly sought after by collectors and vintage jewelry enthusiasts for its historical significance and enduring beauty.
