For sale one (1) Hummel titled Just Sitting featuring a girl with a basket sitting on a fence. This is a vintage Hummel figurine. Sculpted by Reinhold Unger in 1938. Makers mark on the bottom indicates that this figurine was produced between 1950-'57.

A moment of quiet sunshine. With a contented smile and her head tilted toward the viewer, the girl in Just Resting captures the simple joy of a pause in a busy day. Dressed in her signature headscarf and resting casually on a wooden fence, she holds a small basket - perhaps filled with goodies from a visit to Grandma or leftovers from a sunny picnic. Originally titled "Just Sittin-Girl," this charming figurine is a hallmark of M.I. Hummel design, her cheerful expression is a daily reminder to slow down and enjoy the view.

Base of figurine is stamped with M.J. Hummel on the back. Markings on the bottom include 112/1 -The figurine production number. A date of 1938, which is the original year the figurine was sculpted. Blue copyright marks of by W. Goebel, Germany and the Makers mark with the Bee in the V indicating that this figurine was produced any where from 1950 to 1956. Base also includes an impression of a 36 and what looks like a hand written number 7, which we do not know the significance of.

This figure is in previously owned condition. There are no chips cracks or repairs on this figure. We do not see any crazing on this figure, view larger images above to make your own condition assessment.
