The History of the King's Works is a definitive 6-volume (plus plans volume) scholarly set detailing the construction and maintenance of English royal castles and palaces, edited by H.M. Colvin and published by HMSO (1963–1982).

Complete in 6 volumes, plus a case of 4 plans. Books measure 25x19.5.cm. Bound in original publishers red cloth, with gilt lettering. All bindings in very good clean and firm condition.

Dust jackets lightly rubbed, some short tears or/and slightchipping, or minor wear. Jackets in very good clean condition, showing moderatediscolourationin places.  Now in mylar wrappers for better protection,  which can be easily removable.
