I’ve owned the car since 2014 and have loved every second of ownership but I haven’t used it anywhere near as much as I should have in the last few years. I had no plans to sell and planned for it to have a respray after the summer, but I’ve just had the sudden opportunity to buy something unique which has taken the VX’s garage place. 

Spec:

Car is completely standard and never modified. New Bosch battery 2026

Full service and re-commission last summer after about 3 years previously SORN’d. 13 service stamps in the book back to 01/2002, and all paperwork from during my ownership and other papers back to original purchase invoice in 2001. 

Brand new continental tyres on all corners in 2025, less than 100 miles on them. 

Discs, pads and wheels all in good condition 

Soft top in good condition

Recently replaced the drivers side plastic sill that is in very good condition

Sparks and plugs changed in 2016. Done less than 10,000 miles since. 

All cables working correctly

Bad bits:

Usual bolster wear on drivers seat 

Tow eye missing 

Small chip and crack of the fibreglass near drivers sill

The front lenses have usual age related marks

The main thing though as touched on above, is that it has suffered from the usual osmosis on the rear. There are a couple of other marks/scratches and the usual stone chips on the front, but around the boot lid is by far the worst part - please see photos.

Also, if you are checking out the MOT history online an outstanding recall will flag. Weirdly this notification only came through recently and relates to an airbag recall in 2002. I have been informed this is likely to have been rectified prior to my ownership as a different recall afterwards was sorted, and you will note it was serviced by a Vauxhall dealer in 2013 too. I am chasing this up currently though to get confirmation of it being cleared, but will get it sorted either way. Alternatively, it gives you extra ammunition on an offer in the meantime!
