The auction is brand new gear reduction mini-starter just like I have on my personal Grand National.

It's MUCH lighter than the heavy stock starter and with the gear reduction, has much more cranking torque. Even when I let my GN sit for weeks and the battery gets a little low it has no problem busting off my 9:1 4.1L engine.

With it's smaller size it doesn't run near as close to the crossover pipe as normal so the hot start problems are a thing of the past.


It comes with bolts so there's no need to run around hunting the parts stores for the correct length and thread too! These starters use special bolts since they're metric and our engines use SAE threads. (if you look closely at the knurl, you can see the step where they go from 10mm to 3/8")  Using standard 3/8" bolts won't positivity locate the starter where it correctly meshes with the flexplate ring gear.
