Up for your consideration is a 1881 Swiss 20 Rappen coin. This 19th-century cupro-nickel issue features the classic design that has remained remarkably consistent in Swiss coinage for over a century.
Design Details:
• Obverse: Features the head of Liberty (Libertas) facing right, wearing a tiara inscribed with "LIBERTAS." The legend "CONFEDERATIO HELVETICA" surrounds the portrait with the date 1881 below.
• Reverse: The denomination 20 is centered within a wreath of alpine roses (rhododendrons) and oak leaves. The "B" mint mark for Bern is located at the bottom center.
Condition Note:
This is a circulated coin with honest wear. It retains good detail in the hair of Libertas and the wreath on the reverse. Please refer to the high-resolution photos to determine the grade for yourself, as the coin pictured is the exact item you will receive.
