Really sweet Noah's Ark handed painted pewter collectible by Moorland Miniatures of the England. This piece has moving parts - Noah, his wife, and several different animals appear in the window when you turn the center piece. This figurial piece, although designed as a thimble, is anything but a thimble! It can be used in a miniature scene as a working child's toy. It measures 2 3/8 inches tall and 2 3/4 inches wide. It is in very nice condition in its original box with product card. I do not believe it was ever displayed or used, as it was part of vintage store stock that I bought. However, there are a couple knicks to the paint (see photos.) Neat piece for miniature collectors.
This item is part of a collection recently acquired from the estate of a well-known New York miniature store owner. Her shop closed in 2015 and items have been in storage for at least 10 years.
