Classical acanthus leaf claw foot sterling silver sugar tongs from Simpson, Hall, Miller & Co of Wallingford, CT. The maker’s mark of S in a helmet topped crest dates it between 1895 - early 1900’s. It is also marked Pat. Sterling and has no monograms.

The tongs are strong and in excellent condition with no outstanding flaws, scratches or pitting. They have just the normal patina of an antique piece.
