This listing is for a vintage chalkware standing drum major woman. The back of the base is marked, “Louis. 2534. Hickory. Dallas.” She measures 16” tall. This wonderful retro item isa beige base. Her hair and big eyes are dark brown. Her drum major uniform is accented with red. Her hat has an eagle in the center. The cord accent is highlighted with red, as is the front of the uniform, sleeves and skirt. The front of her boots also are accented with red. The front of her jacket has glitter. See photos. The base is a deeper blue. The back of this figurine is mostly without color decoration – except for the blue base. See photos. The base measures approximately 3” wide by 4” deep. For its age, and considering how delicate chalk ware is, the item is remarkably good condition. There is a missing piece on the back of her skirt. See photo. There also are a few spots where the paint was flecked. See skirt and hair. We did not attempt to clean the item in any way. Will leave that up to the new owner. See photos.
