Very fine and interesting German cello bow, possibly by a member of the Knopf family ,it is unbranded. Circa 1870-1900 in my opinion (or maybe slightly earlier)
The stick is round and of beautiful wood with very nice head and very clean head chamfers.
The frog is ebony ,silver mounted with pearl eyes and slide .
The button is ebony with two silver rings and pearl eye.
Lapping is silver wire with leather grip.
Weight approx 76gms. Length= 696mm (714mm including button).
A really fine speculative bow.
