Kämmer & Reinhardt (K★R) factory of Waltershausen, Thuringia, Germany.

This delightful doll dates to the golden age of German bisque doll making,

approximately 1909–1920, and retains much of its original charm — complete

with her lovely original period clothing, bonnet and shoes.

• Mark:    Impressed "36" above the iconic K★R six-pointed star mark,

           located on the back of the bisque neck

• Mold:    No. 100 — character baby-style face sculpt

• Origin:  Germany (Thuringia/Waltershausen region)

  • Moulded and brush-painted short blonde hair

  • Painted blue eyes with expressive detail

  • Rosy hand-blushed cheeks

  • Sweetly laughing open mouth with parted lips

  • Excellent original face painting — no restoration

BODY (Composition — bent-limb baby style):

  • All four limbs present and attached

  • Bent-limb baby body, typical of the K&R character baby style

  • SHOES:     Cream leather baby boots with brown leather soles

               stamped with a period maker's trade mark (Depose)

BISQUE HEAD — Very Good Antique Condition:

  ✅ No cracks, chips, or hairlines detected

  ✅ Original face painting bright and intact

  ✅ Open-mouth expression beautifully preserved

COMPOSITION BODY — Good Antique Condition (Normal Age Wear):

  ✅ Torso structurally sound and intact

  ✅ All limbs present and attached

  ⚠️ Surface crazing to composition on BOTH LEGS — stable, not

     flaking; entirely typical and expected for dolls of this age

  ⚠️ TWO FINGERS BROKEN on one hand — clearly shown in photographs;

     a very common occurrence on antique composition baby dolls;

     broken pieces can be reattached by a doll restorer

CLOTHING:

  ✅ Original/period ensemble largely intact

  ⚠️ Age-related discolouration and light soiling consistent with

     100+ years of storage — mellowed cream/ivory patina

  ✅ Lace trim present with only minor wear
