Fine rare medal of  beloved Saint Philomene or Philomena, made in France by the famed Penin Poncet family of medal engravers and designers. It is cast of a fine silver metal, content unknown, and signed below here on each side by the medal artist.  It measures 1"  tall not counting the loop on the top, and is in very good condition. Silver content unknown but looks fabulous, the value of this is the artist and also the subject, medals for this Saint and signed quite rare to find. We did not polish this for the photos as we like to keep the old patina.  Details on this are fabulous, high quality work, bought decades ago for our own personal use, time to downsize.
