Heat Application: A heat press applies specific levels of heat (usually between 350?400°F) and pressure for a few minutes. The heat transforms the solid ink on the paper into a gas without going through a liquid stage (sublimation), allowing the gas to penetrate and bond with the ceramic surface.
Cooling: After the heat press cycle, the ornament is removed and cooled down. Once cooled, the ink returns to a solid state, and the design becomes part of the ceramic.
