Sublimation glass ornaments are unique because they allow for high-quality, full-color images and designs to be infused directly into the glass surface, resulting in vibrant, long-lasting decorations.

Here's a breakdown of the process:

  1. Design Creation: The process begins with creating a digital design, typically using graphic design software. This design is then printed in reverse on special sublimation paper using sublimation inks.

  2. Transfer Process: The printed design is placed on the ornament's surface, and both are secured in a heat press. The sublimation paper and ceramic ornament must be tightly pressed to prevent shifting.

  3. Heat Application: A heat press applies specific levels of heat (usually between 350?400°F) and pressure for a few minutes. The heat transforms the solid ink on the paper into a gas without going through a liquid stage (sublimation), allowing the gas to penetrate and bond with the ceramic surface.

  4. Cooling: After the heat press cycle, the ornament is removed and cooled down. Once cooled, the ink returns to a solid state, and the design becomes part of the ceramic.

What Sets It Apart:

- Durability: The sublimation process embeds the ink within the glass surface, making the design resistant to scratches, fading, and wear.

- Vibrant Colors: The heat process allows for bright, vivid colors and sharp details, providing high-quality images and designs.

- Personalization: Sublimation enables custom, full-color designs that make each ornament unique and personalized.

- No Texture Change: Since the ink becomes part of the ceramic, the ornament retains a smooth finish without any raised or textured areas.

This technique makes sublimation glass ornaments an excellent choice for custom, colorful, and resilient decorations, especially popular for holidays and special occasions.
