Description

The Sony VTX-D800U is a reliable early Freeview digital TV set-top box. It converts digital terrestrial signals so you can watch Freeview channels on older analogue TVs via Scart connection.

It offers clear picture quality, easy auto-tuning, and a simple, user-friendly interface. Still popular today for secondary TVs, sheds, caravans, or as a basic Freeview radio receiver.

Condition & Testing

This unit has been fully tested and is in good working order. It powers on, tunes in channels (subject to local signal strength), and outputs video/audio correctly via Scart. The casing shows normal signs of age and use. Please check all photos carefully.

Important Notes

• This is an older Freeview box (not HD or Freeview Play).
• Requires a good indoor/outdoor aerial for best reception.
• No longer receives all modern channels due to digital switchover changes, but still works well for remaining Freeview channels and radio.
