The mid century French charm is strong with this early ( 1950s/60s ) RICARD water pitcher.

Originally served to guests who ordered a shot of RICARD Anisette ( or en Française, " pastis" liqueur), the nostalgic pitchers were distinguished by their unmistakable pale terra cotta color, block type and squared-off shape. They came with or without a gridded plastic ice guard ( this one has the guard). The word " Anisette" was added later, and the lack of this addition identifies this piece as an early example.

In EUC, the piece shows no chips, cracks, crazing or other condition issues. There is a tiny production flaw, a minute, slightly raised black mark on one of the shoulders. Please see the photos for the most accurate description of color, condition and size.
