This is a unique item.  Searched high and low to find a comparable in vain.

The item is a vintage promotional hat rack  created for Suntory Whisky.

It features an arrow-shaped design made of brass and wood, with a central decorative

element bearing the Suntory crest and the slogan "The Finest Whisky Under the Sun." This particular style was often used as a bar or tavern display piece to promote the brand.

The owner marked the box with text that says: 

"RECEIVED 1997 IN TOKYO"

So, it is at least 29 years of age.  There is. a couple of tiny defects on the wooden part at positions 10 o'clock and 4 o'clock.

There seems to be some piece of hardware or screws attached on the back for mounting possibly.
