You're looking at an original, antique cast iron Southington HDW Co carpenter's/ woodworking spirit level dating to the 19th century. This is an early patent pending example. This high-quality piece is constructed of cast iron and has a copper wash over some areas as can be seen in the pics. Both glass spirit vials are intact and functioning accurately. This level shows wear commensurate with age with no chips or repairs. Made in Connecticut.

Measures approx 12" in length x 2" tall x 1" wide.
