Our Kabuki Dress brings together quite a few different inspirations into one stiking piece! The front and back both cross over for a dramatic, but easy fit, similar in fit to our Obi styles. This blouse has a slight Asian look, but the rich red and gold embroidery was taken from an American garment of the early 1900's. The sleeves are dramatic with two layers of silk (the outer layer of silk charmeuse and the inner layer of silk georgette). They are split open to the shoulders to show a peek of skin! The silk crepe waist section has ties that can wrap around the body and be tied in many different ways to suit a variety of body shapes. The skirt portion is nearly midcalf and is fully lined in silk georgette for a unique double layer hem.
