Mapping the World, published in 2000 by the Folio Society, and written by Peter Whitfield. This is a heavily illustrated history of exploration and cartography originally published by the British Library under the title "New Found Lands".
The book is a large single volume bound in blue/green buckram with gilt and silver decoration, housed in a matching decorated slipcase. Both the book and the slipcase are in pristine condition, the book is unread. Please see pictures which form part of the description.
