This striking vintage Bebe women's jacket (or tunic-style top) features a detachable peplum base, and separate bustle belt, created by Bebe at the height of its popularity in the 90's- early 2000's.
This rare beauty comes from the collection of the Bebe Fall 2009 ad campaign which was inspired by vintage clothing, with founder Manny Mashouf drawing inspiration from the styles found in vintage shops. The campaign was described as sultry, bold, daring, and sexy, and featured Dutch model Lonneke Engel.
The fabric is 100% polyester, with a taffeta like feel, with a nylon lace lining.
It features detachable ruched peplum, with white poly satin ruffled accent.
A sexy V-neck bodice, with 5 brass metal Victorian style decorative buttons.
3/4 length gathered shoulder ruched sleeves, also decorated with white ruffled trim.
A matching fabric belt with a bustled bow back, that has a hook & eye adjustable closure in front.
