BSR is proud to provide the ultimate value in design and development of a 10 band graphic equalizer with a real time frequency spectrum analyzer, the EQ-3000, for your superior sound analysis.
The EQ-3000 uses a fluorescent indicator tube which has 100 separate segments plus 10 segments average response indicator for display to analyse sound source frequencies and room acoustics. The EQ-3000 offers the listener positive visual confirmation of all sound compensation made, having combined both a graphic equalizer and spectrum analyzer into one unit. The fluorescent indicator tube's display. which allows visual monitoring of all frequencies, plus average response, adds a further dimension of pleasure to the use of this superior component.
The rear panel has stereo In/Out RCA jacks, two Tape Loops, and an unswitched AC outlet. The EQ-3000 weighs just under 9.5 lbs and measures 17-1/8" x 3-1/2" x 8-3/4" deep.

Condition:
This rare equalizer is in "Excellent" condition with minimal signs of use and nice, clean front panel! So what puts the "y" in Minty? We are very picky about condition and any unit must meet several requirements before we will call it Mint, let alone New. After a close inspection, we found sharp corners to the cabinet, knobs and feet, if it weren't for just a few tiny scuffs that are hard to make out in the pics we would have had no problem calling this beauty fully "Mint!" All the knobs & buttons are present and complete as are the feet and attached AC cord. The pink noise microphone had gone missing and, as the Spectrum Analyzer requires a mic with specific specs, replacements are hard to identify, let alone find. It requires a 600 ohm, Omnidirectional Electret Condenser Mic w/ 1/4" phono plug. After extensive research we found only one mic, made by Realistic in the 80's, the 33-1050. While some '80's Realistic mics were made by Shure and Crown, it is unknown if either made this model. It does require an N-type Battery, so we are including a brand new Alkaline from Duracell. The mic is also in excellent condition, comes in the factory box and includes the original manual and all accessories. The BSR manual had gone missing so we are including the pictured copy. We are also including two bonus NEW stereo RCA Audio Cables! All comes in the pictured generic box with custom Styrofoam packing. Please examine all the pictures thoroughly for actual condition. 
Service:
On inspection, this unit was working, just some scratchy or inconsistent controls, so it went to our tech for service. 
All faders were cleaned and treated with DeoxIT F-5, specifically designed to both clean and lubricate faders. While open, all electrolytic caps were inspected for bulging or leakage and all PC boards were inspected with any questionable solder joints re-flowed. We also found the power indicator behind the BSR logo had gone out, so it was replaced with an LED for extended life! It's this kind of thoughtful, preventative servicing that makes it smart to buy from a company with an experienced, in-house technician!
Testing:
Once serviced, we set this up on our test bench and it powered right up with no issues whatsoever. All inputs, outputs, features and controls work as expected producing clear, distortion-free audio with no hum or buzz. The mic was connected and we were able to use the included Pink Noise mic to analyze the room acoustics with no issues. More testing was done, if there is a particular function you would like to know more about just let us know before buying.  What a great find on a top-quality vintage piece of audio gear!
